Our goal is to help boat owners solve problems efficiently, understand their options, and make informed decisions about their boats.

Meet Paul

Paul’s marine experience comes from living the lifestyle—not just working in the industry.

He has been a full-time liveaboard for over ten years and has owned two monohulls and a Leopard catamaran. Living aboard every day has given him firsthand experience with the systems, maintenance, and unexpected challenges that boat owners face.

Paul began working for a shipwright in 2016, gaining valuable experience repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vessels. After taking a year off to cruise full-time, he and Heather founded Gehrke Yacht Services in 2021 to provide honest, knowledgeable marine support built on real-world experience.

Before entering the marine industry, Paul spent 20 years as a boilermaker, developing the fabrication, mechanical, and problem-solving skills that continue to benefit his work today.

Whether he’s troubleshooting an electrical issue, diagnosing a generator problem, planning a system upgrade, or helping a fellow cruisers remotely, Paul’s focus is always the same: provide practical solutions, honest advice, and help boat owners enjoy their time on the water with confidence.
